Congratulations to Nancy White!

 

 

Harrison Ranch Arts Guild artist Nancy White's colored pencil artwork entitled Ocean's Wonder has been accepted into the Open, All Media, Juried Show at the Art Center Manatee. The ArtCenter Manatee is a visual arts center that features the artwork of many talented local, state and national artists. The center provides classes as well as has three galleries with monthly exhibitions. For more about the Art Center Manatee click here.

 

The Opening Reception for this exhibition will be held June 28th from 5 PM to 7 PM. It is open to the public and free. The show will run from June 28th to July 27th at the ArtCenter Manatee. Gallery hours are: Monday, Friday, and Saturday 9 AM-5 PM; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 AM -6 PM; and is 

closed on Sundays. The Art Center Manatee is located at 209 9th Street West, in Bradenton, Florida.

Nancy White is a member of the Harrison Ranch Arts Guild, is President of the Colony Cove Art Club, and also is the Vice President of the Parrish Arts Council. She has a wide range of talents including making handmade paper cards and painting. She began working with colored pencils about a year ago, and clearly is skilled at it. She is an active member of the community and spends many hours volunteering to help others. 

 

The Juror, Linda Lucas hand picked Nancy's work to be featured in the exhibition. According to the Art Center Manatee website: "Linda Lucas graduated with Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and also attended Buffalo State College University of New York@ Elmwood for Fiber Arts & Surface Design. She has taught at ArtCenter Manatee, Ringling School of Art, and Keetons. Linda also taught at Chautauqua Institute in New York. Linda also participates in juried Fine Art outdoor shows in Florida & New York."
