Five Local Artists to Paint at Wine, Cheese & Painting Event! May 1st
On Friday, May 1st from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM, five local artists will participate in a Paint Off event that is hosted by the Harrison Ranch Arts Guild and held as a part of the Wine & Cheese night that is Co-Sponsored by Harrison Ranch. The public is invited to attend. The location is: Harrison Ranch - Amenity Center, 5755 Harrison Ranch Blvd, Parrish.
Here's how the painting portion of the event will take place: each artist will have a canvas and will start their own painting. Then they will have a limited amount of time to paint before their canvas is moved to the next artist. The result is that over just a couple of hours of time, an interesting, unique art piece will emerge! Each artist will paint on all the canvases. The artists have chosen nonprofits or organizations that will benefit from auctioning off the completed paintings.
The artists and benefitting groups are: Liz Estes To Paint For - Sarasota-Manatee Association for Riding Therapy; Mavis Jan-Lai To Paint For - Rocky Bluff Library; Jerri Phillips To Paint For - Parrish Arts Council; Sally Wooldridge To Paint For - Harrison Ranch Arts Guild; and Joanna Coke To Paint For - Save Place & Rape Crisis Center of Sarasota.
There will be cheese and crackers provided at the event. If attendees wish to drink wine, they may bring their own. Please note that ages 21 and up are welcome inside the event, however... there will be a Kid Zone on the outdoor patio! The Kid Zone will be hosted by Crystal Gibson from the Parrish Mommy & Me. It will include some fun activities so that the children get to enjoy themselves while the parents get to check out the Wine & Cheese & Painting event indoors!

Please note: winning bids on paintings will require a check to be written directly to the benefitting organizations. The HOA and CDD at Harrison Ranch will not benefit in any way from this event.
